Argentina 1.5 at the Energy Week 2026

We participated in the Energy Week 2026, organized by OLACDE, where we co-organized a session on just energy transition in the territories with the Latin American Alliance for a Just Energy Transition. We also supported regional coordination initiatives and dialogue with key stakeholders.

El Niño and Climate Adaptation in Northwestern Argentina

Pilar Bueno Rubial, executive director of Argentina 1.5, participated on October 8 in the workshop series “El Niño: Keys to Journalistic Coverage,” organized by FOPEA and Periodistas por el Planeta. During the meeting dedicated to the Northwest region of Argentina, she emphasized the importance of strengthening climate change adaptation policies, risk-based planning, and provincial response plans to anticipate impacts, reduce vulnerabilities, and protect communities.

We participated in the 7th Climate and Sustainable Finance Week

Argentina 1.5 participated in the 7th Climate and Sustainable Finance Week, organized by GFLAC, where it highlighted the need to translate international climate finance commitments into a concrete roadmap with verifiable goals and adequate resources. It also emphasized the importance of ensuring accessible, predictable, and high-quality financing that effectively reaches local communities and addresses the adaptation needs of vulnerable populations, in the lead-up to COP31 in Antalya.
