Contemporary climate thinking
We research, connect and communicate evidence to drive climate public policies in line with science and a just transition, from and for communities.
Connecting evidence, people and decisions
We are an independent space that connects scientific evidence, people and public decisions to drive a just transition that accounts for the social, economic and environmental dimensions of climate change.

Adaptation & Loss and damage
We drive accelerated action on adaptation under a multilevel approach and promote mechanisms to address climate loss and damage.

Mitigation & Energy transition
We foster emissions reduction and a just energy transition to secure a sustainable future aligned with the global temperature goal.

Green & climate finance
We analyze and promote financial flows consistent with resilient development and low greenhouse gas emission pathways.

Methodological guide for testing the Belém Adaptation Indicators of the Global Goal on Adaptation
This guide was developed by Fundación Argentina 1.5 and Fundación Gran Chaco, with the support of Fundación Avina, combining the organizations' experiences with multi-level adaptation actions and drawing upon a pilot exercise conducted in the province of Chaco, Argentina. The guide aims to contribute to the global effort to pilot the Belém Adaptation Indicators by offering a practical perspective based on 11 interviews with representatives from countries, country groups, and organizations that generously shared their processes, challenges, and expectations.

Pilar Bueno Rubial, executive director of Argentina 1.5, participated on October 8 in the workshop series “El Niño: Keys to Journalistic Coverage,” organized by FOPEA and Periodistas por el Planeta. During the meeting dedicated to the Northwest region of Argentina, she emphasized the importance of strengthening climate change adaptation policies, risk-based planning, and provincial response plans to anticipate impacts, reduce vulnerabilities, and protect communities.

We build through networks
Let’s collaborate to multiply impact
