Within the framework of SB64 in Bonn, Argentina 1.5 participated in the parallel event “Strengthening the vision of Latin America and the Caribbean on the GGA”, organized by the Task Force “Adaptation as a Priority for Latin America and the Caribbean”, a network of which we are a part.
The meeting brought together organizations from the region to exchange perspectives on the main challenges and opportunities for implementing the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA). The discussion also addressed a central issue for Latin America and the Caribbean: the need to strengthen and guarantee adequate financing for adaptation, as well as to ensure that regional priorities and realities are reflected in the process toward the second Global Stocktake (GST2).
Since Argentina 1.5, these regional articulation spaces are fundamental to building a shared vision of Latin America and the Caribbean, strengthening the influence of civil society and contributing to ensuring that global discussions on adaptation translate into concrete responses for the territories.
